Every story has a beginning. Ours began on the ninth floor.
While living in Tirana, Albania, we discovered the neighborhood of Nëntë Kateshet, or “the nine floors”, a name that came from a time when buildings in the area were limited to nine stories high. By coincidence, we also lived on the ninth floor of my building.
That connection became the inspiration behind Ninth Floor Press: a place built around stories, imagination, and the belief that the right book can transport readers somewhere new.
